$100 in Prizes! Late Summer Paddle at Scioto Audubon

Win - Win! Enjoy a walk along the Scioto's Shoreline OR Paddle from the boat ramp. Wherever you start, you're helping your community and most bags, stuff collected wins prizes!

This is an exciting way we're seeking to reward those who DO actually take time to care about where they paddle. Prizes will be given up to $40 for most bags and stuff collected and have other rewards for 2nd and 3rd plus some snacks, coffee and bevs provided. Depends on who shows up, the prize $ money would likely have best male & female categories plus age group winners. We are seeking volunteers for our upcoming project to clean the Scioto River at Scioto Audubon Downtown. Newbie kayakers are encouraged to cleanup the shallow east of the Peninsula in red. Suggestions on how to split up the winning pot? New to shoreline or water cleanup? Let us know in comments.

We are seeking volunteers for our upcoming project to remove the litter from Scioto especially along the shore at the peninsula. This cleanup may have a setup seminar and PowerPoint presentation that will lay out all of the logistics and essentials that we will need in order to make this project successful. There will also be an open discussion at the end to share ideas and plan pick up and drop off locations. With enough help, we will be able to completely clear up the waterways and make the Scioto Audubon much more inviting and safe for paddlers of all experience levels!

Keep in mind the max occupancy for the conference room is 25, so please confirm with TJ via email or messenger so we can have a proper head count before the day of the seminar. This will be held in the recreational facility building at Mingo Park in Delaware. Exact location will be provided below. We hope to see you three and look forward to the next phase of this project!
