earth day clean up at cold spring (Postponed date to be announced)

Earth day is April 22nd......We are subject to the tides, we dance to the tune the piper plays, so we launch on the 23rd

last year we launched on May 10th

If we get into the water by 10:15 am we should have enough clearance to pass beneath the tressel , if not we wait

then since low is at 4:30 pm it would be wise to pass below the tressel before 2pm. That is a 3+ hrs cleanup

For Earth Day, we will also be doing a clean-up on our way back.

Riverkeeper will be supporting us and American Rivers National River Cleanup will supply us with trash bags. Bring rope in case we find large trash to tow back.

We can head over to the waterfall for lunch (don't forget lunch). We can start to pick up trash at the waterfall and carry it back with us.

After we are back onto the Hudson we can unload our collection of trash and either head up to town for some sightseeing or press on up the estuary as far as you please.

Whoever finds the most interesting trash will get a free drink!
