21st Annual Newburgh to Beacon Swim with Kayak Support!

Details
Looking for experienced sea kayakers that know how to rescue swimmers, can self/assist & rescue other kayakers. This support for the Newburgh to Beacon Swim benefits the River Pool at Beacon. The 1 mile swim has over 100 swimmers and they need experienced kayak support. This is a way to give back for our use of the beautiful Hudson river. Liquid Skies is not running this event just supporting the swimmers. I will be unable to attend but Jim D has offered to organize our group to cross the Hudson. Please check in with him when you arrive.
Kayak escorts are required to attend a 1- hour mandatory safety class on July 23rd @ 7:00 pm, location in person 1 Arquilla Dr, Beacon, NY. There will also be a zoom mtg at the same time if you attend remotely. After you have registered with Beacon, they will send you a link to the zoom.
Swim is Sat, July 26 and the rain date is Sunday, July 27, 2025.

If you have any questions about your skills, type of kayak etc please call me to discuss. Linda (845) 548-2198. We can have a rescue swimmer practice session before this event if there is interest.
