Mystic River Paddle!

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE SIGNING UP!

This is Jay's paddle and we are joining him. Please be able to keep up a moderate, continuous pace. Some of this paddle is in open water so you should be able to handle wind, waves etc. Only sea kayaks 14' minimun with bulkheads, no SOT's, SUP's, Inflatables, Rafts or pets. Surf Skis OK.

In the water 10:30 am, get there early to get yourself situated & ready.
Approximate distance to be covered 10+ miles. We will launch from the Mystic River Boat launch by I-95. Lots of eye candy on this paddles. We will paddle to Mystic Seaport, then up river to Mason Is, Andrews Is, Dodges Is and land at the beach on beautiful, Ender's Is for a lunch break. We can walk the grounds to check out the beautiful seascapes, and gardens of St. Edmond's Retreat. After lunch we'll paddle to view the Lighthouse at Morgan Point, then paddle the Mystic River back to the launch. We will paddle the current in both directions.

This paddle is a gathering of people enjoying a common interest, not a guided tour, there is no paddle leader, so your personal safety is your responsibility alone. Going on this paddle you knowingly accept all responsibility for your own safety.

You should know how to assist/self rescue and wear/bring appropriate layers. Pack a lunch and anything you need for a day trip. Liquid Skies members have priority. Limited to 8 people. Please only sign up if you are attending. Please be kind.
