Note: time change launch is now 9:30am

(Riverkeeper has has asked us to work with the Beacon Sloop Club as they are having a land cleanup in the same area, & have a truck that will haul our trash to the dump but we have to be done by 11:45am to get it to them. We can land at their dock to deliver the trash and then go back to Long Dock to unload our boats. We are invited to their club for a circle celebration of Pete Seeger. We can have our lunch there if anyone is interested.)
Its time to give back and help clean up our beautiful river. Please arrive early to unload & park, be ready to be in the water at 9:30 am sharp. Bring a cart or wheels if you have them to transport your kayak to the water. There is additional parking at the train station. Allow time to park.

We will clean up along the shore as we go into the marsh, as well as in the marsh. I will bring trash bags & have some gloves, there may not be enough gloves for everyone. Please a few of you bring disposable gloves and a grabber tool if you have one. We will collect trash from the water & keep the bags on our boats. Anything large we will try to tow if possible. I'm working on getting Riverkeeper to arrange to have the trash picked up at the dock.

Open to all kayaks, canoes, sit-on-tops over 12', no inflatables.

You should know how to assist/self rescue. Everyone is responsible for themselves. This will be a couple of hours paddling in the Hudson. Although we will be staying close to shore there may be waves, wind and current, please know your ability in these conditions.

Hi Tide: 12:59 pm, 2.6'; Low Tide: 7:22 am 0.1'

Its too early to know the weather, please check back the Friday before for a weather update. Always dress for immersion.

If this time change impacts anyone going please take yourself off the list, thank you, please be kind. My cell if needed (845) 548-2198.
