## Details
Join the local Thomas Hart-Benton Group of the Sierra Club on Saturday, May 31 (postponed from 5/24) when we begin our planting at the intersection of I-470 and Strother Road! (This event was previously classified as an "Outing" and listed on another MeetUp page, but because I am not able to be there on the 31st, we had to change the nature of the event.)
While the photo above shows the area as it existed a week ago, it will change greatly in the next week. We have enlisted the assistance of MODOT, who sprayed and killed the existing fescue, making the area ready for the spreading of Annual Native Seeds. We expect to see a very nice color mixture within a month.
Where to meet: Due to limited parking along the exit ramp at Strothers, meet at the MoDOT Maintenance garage parking lot, 3050 NE Independence, Lee's Summit 64064, at 9:45.

What to Wear: Dress appropriately for the weather. Keep in mind that there may be wet or muddy areas. Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes. Bring work gloves and a rake, if you have them. Don't forget water and a snack. Be prepared for tick and chiggers!
