Friendly, amateur football for English speakers in Barcelona, every Friday evening on one of the most scenic pitches in the city - up on Montjuïc, looking out over the rooftops as the sun goes down.

This is social football, not a league. Teams are mixed up on the day so everyone gets a proper game, and the result matters far less than turning up and having a good time.

Who it's for
Everyone. This is amateur football aimed at beginners and improvers - no experience needed, and you don't need to bring a team or any kit. We play mixed teams (ladies and gents together) and we'd especially love more women to get involved, so if you've been thinking about it, this is your sign. 🧡

The details
📅 Every Friday, 18:00 kickoff (please arrive by 17:50)
📍 Satalia, Carrer de Margarit 23, Sants-Montjuïc
⚽ 8v8, mixed teams, all levels
👕 Bring a black or dark shirt, plus a lighter one if you have it, so teams can be split easily
👟 Footwear for the surface (boots or astros), water, and shin pads if you like them
💶 Pitch fees are split between players (just a few euros each), paid through the Vaya Sports app
🍻 We head to a nearby bar afterwards for 30-60 minutes of drinks and a chat - come for the football, the social, or both

We've teamed up with Vaya Sports, who book the pitch, provide an on-site organiser, and supply the bibs and balls. You sign up and pay your share through the Vaya app - the link is shared each week in our WhatsApp group.

How to join
Join the Keep Calm Football WhatsApp group at https://keepcalm.fit/meetup/football to get the weekly Vaya sign-up link, pitch confirmation, and any updates. Spots are limited by pitch size, so confirm early and only if you can commit.

How to get there
Metro: L3 (green line) to Poble Sec or Paral·lel, then a short walk up towards Montjuïc. Lots of members travel from across the city - ask in the WhatsApp group if you want to share the trip.
