Social badminton for English speakers in Barcelona. Part of the Keep Calm community - a not-for-profit, volunteer-run sports and social network for the city's English-speaking community, run in partnership with BCN Badminton.
**What to expect**
Friendly doubles practice games, with players rotating across 4 courts so everyone gets plenty of court time. This is social badminton, not a competition - good-natured games with good people.
**Skill level**
Currently a lower-intermediate level. Mixed group, ladies and gents, all ages welcome. Be honest about your level when you RSVP so the games stay enjoyable for everyone.
**Cost**
5€ per person, which covers the court hire and shuttlecocks, paid to the host on the day. Bring the exact amount in cash (no change available), or pay by Bizum or transfer.
**What to bring**
Your own racket, indoor court shoes with non-marking soles, and water.
**Spots and waitlist**
Limited to 24 players. There's an automatic waitlist - if it's full, RSVP anyway and you'll be moved up if someone drops out. Please only RSVP yes if you can make it, and cancel as early as possible if your plans change. Changing your RSVP within 24 hours of the event counts as a no-show unless someone takes your spot.
**How to join**
RSVP here on Meetup, then join our WhatsApp group at https://keepcalm.fit/meetup/badminton - this is where all the organisation happens, and you must be in the group before you can come to the event. Day, time, and venue are shared there, so read the pinned info or ask the group if you're not sure.
