Keep Calm Volleyball - Beginners

OUR SESSIONS ARE ORGANISED THROUGH OUR WHATSAPP COMMUNITY RATHER THAN THIS EVENT PAGE. PLEASE JOIN THE WHATSAPP GROUP AND KEEP AN EYE OUT IN THE CHAT WHERE ALL UPCOMING EVENTS ARE ANNOUNCED.
Join us for beginner-friendly beach volleyball on the Barcelona coast! This is a dedicated space for anyone new to the sport, with a regular weekly session plus ad-hoc games posted whenever members fancy a game.
What to expect
A relaxed, low-pressure session focused on learning the basics: serving, setting, digging, and getting comfortable on the sand. More experienced players and organisers are on hand to help and teach, teams rotate so everyone gets plenty of touches on the ball, and nobody's keeping score too closely.
Skill level
Complete beginners, this one's for you. Never touched a volleyball before? Perfect, you won't be the only one. This is the easiest place to start before jumping into the regular mixed sessions.
Cost
Free. We use public beach nets, so there's no venue fee and no Keep Calm membership fee.
What to bring
Water, sunscreen, and comfortable clothes for the beach. Net and balls are provided by the organiser, but bring your own if you have one.
How to join
RSVP here on Meetup, then join our WhatsApp group at https://keepcalm.fit/activites/volleyball - this is where all games are coordinated and last-minute updates are posted, and you must be in the group before you can come to a session. Day, time, and beach location are shared there, so read the pinned info or ask the group if you're not sure.
