About us
KENRIC Lesbian Social Group
KENRIC offers lesbians the opportunity to make friends and connect with others within a friendly and welcoming group. We organise a variety of social events aimed at providing opportunities for lesbians to meet, socialise and just be themselves.
KENRIC was founded in 1965 by lesbians in the Kensington and Richmond areas of London. We are the UK's longest-running lesbian social group. We are a not-for-profit group, run on behalf of our members by an annually-elected volunteer Management Committee, assisted by a wider team of volunteers.
When you join our meetup group, we will ask you to confirm that:
- You identify as a lesbian.
- You agree to treat all our members with respect. Our current members include women and transwomen who identify as lesbian. Link to our Code of Conduct: Full policies | KENRIC.
Please note that we request all members of our Meetup group to include a genuine photo of their face in their Meetup profile.
Membership
Associate members: Meetup-only members, guests and event attendees who do not hold full membership.
Full members: Members who have subscribed to KENRIC by joining on-line. Benefits of full membership include priority booking and discounted entry to events, our monthly newsletter and access to our private members' Facebook group, and voting rights at our AGM - currently applications for full membership are paused whilst we conduct an internal consultation.
