Kent LGBTQ+ social group

This group was originally created as a space for lesbian, bisexual, queer, and questioning women in Kent to meet, make friends, and build a sense of community.

Since launching the group, it has become clear that many people across the wider LGBTQ+ community in Kent are also looking for more opportunities to connect locally. After speaking with members, I have decided to open the group up to the wider LGBTQ+ community (all genders).

The goal remains the same: to create a welcoming, relaxed, and inclusive environment where LGBTQ+ people can meet others, make friends, and build a genuine sense of community without always needing to travel back to London.

Events will include day trips to the Kent coast, countryside walks, picnics, brunches, casual drinks, and other social activities that bring people together in an easy going and supportive way.

While the group is open to the wider LGBTQ+ community, there may occasionally be some events specifically for women, reflecting the group’s original focus and recognising that some people may prefer those spaces from time to time.

Above all, this group is about respect, inclusivity, and creating a space where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves.

This group is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Trans people, non binary people, and gender diverse individuals are warmly welcome.
