Hey all,

Last month, there were requests for some meditation time for this month. So we'll include that as part of our 'I' part of the meeting. So after any new member introductions we'll listen to some of the 'Integral Meditation' CD that is included in the 'Integral Life Practice Kit'. It gives some excellent instruction for beginners and advanced students as well.

We'll listen to 'Basic Meditation Instructions' (8.5 min) and then practice. Then we'll listen to 'Nondual Pointing-Out Instructions' (2 min) and then realize we are already enlightened. :~)

We also talked about having a showing of the Big Mind DVD included in the 'Integral Life Practice Kit'. This DVD is 2 and a half hours long. Let's talk about watching this DVD in place of our June Meetup.

It really does make a lot of sense to include meditation at these meetings doesn't it? Anyone who starts reading Ken's books quickly comes to realize that development in all areas of life, especially spirituality, is part of the Integral worldview.

Then we'll switch to 'We' and we'll invite Ken to hang out with us. We'll watch a couple videos and then discuss what we think he was talking about. I've listed some titles of those videos on our Meetup site. Please vote for 2 videos clips at https://kenwilber.meet... (https://kenwilber.meetup.com/61/polls/76913)

Then we'll slide into our favorite 'It', the AQAL Framework, the mother of all 'It' maps. We'll take one component of the Integral Model at a time, (Quadrants, Levels, Lines, States and Types) and kick it around. We'll have most of Ken's books on hand for the theory aspect but it's the practical application that will probably be the most interesting and fun. Check out a very cool AQAL map on our site at https://files.meetup.c... (https://files.meetup.com/91200/AQALchart.jpg)

Each month, we'll go over the basics of a particular component of the model and then talk about how to use it in our lives. Last month we started with quadrants but we only got to spend about 20 minutes on the topic. Considering how fundamental the four quadrants are we'll continue studying them at our May meeting.

We'll try this overall structure over the next six months as see how it goes and of course I'm open to suggestions and feedback.

See ya there!
Mark
