Book Quotes
“Conflict is a dense energy packet from the universe that can be difficult to decipher, but it points the way to exactly the lessons we need to learn in order to grow.”
“Telling the truth just feels good—and that feeling of relief is the transformation of stagnant into useful and usable energy. Learning to do this in real-time is one of the most powerful skills you can master. Just as alchemists transform metal into gold, we can learn to transform conflict into love.”
“Put simply, Authentic Relating, or “AR,” is a set of communication practices designed to bring us into deeper connection with one another, with ourselves, and with the world around us.”
“Conflict is an opportunity. AR [Authentic Relating] allows us to uncover the nature of that opportunity—to truly know ourselves and others by exploring the needs and values underneath our differing perspectives.”
“Context is ubiquitous: It is the water we collectively swim in. Learning to set visionary context is a vital skill for creating change at the societal level. The more trusted and coherent our leadership is, the more likely others will join and follow us...”
“Authenticity means including all parts of ourselves, even the ones that hide our insecurities. Each time we reveal a part of us that we would normally put a mask over, we take a big step toward living a more authentic life.”
