A fun-filled short dash designed for our youngest participants! Perfect for children who want to join the End-of-Summer excitement and celebrate one last summer adventure before the season changes. Includes participant shirt, finisher medal, and plenty of smiles along the way.
## 🚶 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run
Perfect for all ages and fitness levels! Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly walk or run filled with sunshine, community spirit, and good vibes along the course. Includes event tee and finisher medal.
## 🏅 End-of-Summer 5K (3.1 Miles)
Our featured chip-timed race for runners and walkers ready to finish the summer strong! Participants will enjoy a scenic course, energetic atmosphere, and awards for top finishers and age groups. Includes official event shirt and commemorative finisher medal.
## 🏅 End-of-Summer Quarter Marathon (6.55 Miles)
Take on the ultimate End-of-Summer challenge with our featured chip-timed Quarter Marathon! Designed for runners ready to go the extra mile before summer ends, this scenic and energizing course offers a memorable race-day experience filled with community spirit, celebration, and rewarding competition. Participants will compete for overall and age group recognition while enjoying a professionally organized event atmosphere. Includes official event shirt and finisher medal.

Proceeds and donations from the event help support the mission of Kharites Works by assisting community outreach initiatives throughout the San Antonio area.

🌳The End-of-Summer course travels through scenic park trails and community paths, creating a welcoming environment for runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all fitness levels.
💧 Water stations and volunteer support will be available throughout the course.

Advertised swag items, including shirts, medals, and giveaways, are subject to change based on availability, supplies, and production timelines.
Kharites Works Race Terms & Conditions
By registering for and participating in any race, walk, fun run, or event hosted by Kharites Works, participants acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Photos listed are of the park but may not reflect the race day course. Course is subject to change based on weather and city park requirements.

1. Registration & Participation
• All participants must complete the official registration process before participating.
• Registration is non-transferable unless approved by event organizers.
• Participants under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian complete registration and agree to all event policies on their behalf.
• Participants agree to follow all event rules, staff instructions, safety guidelines, and local laws.

2. Assumption of Risk
Participants understand that running, walking, and outdoor event participation involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Falls
• Collisions
• Uneven terrain
• Weather conditions
• Wildlife or environmental hazards
• Physical injury, illness, or medical emergencies
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Participants confirm they are physically capable of participating and have consulted a physician if necessary.

3. Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release and hold harmless Kharites Works, its directors, volunteers, sponsors, partners, vendors, staff, affiliates, and property owners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from participation in the event.
This includes claims related to:
• Personal injury
• Property damage
• Accidents
• Illness
• Delayed medical treatment
• Acts of negligence

4. Medical Authorization
Participants authorize event staff and emergency personnel to obtain medical treatment if necessary during the event.
Participants understand they are financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
• All registrations are final.
• No refunds, transfers, exchanges, or deferrals will be issued unless otherwise stated by the event organizers.
• Events may proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe.
• Kharites Works reserves the right to modify, postpone, shorten, reroute, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, low participation, or circumstances beyond organizational control.
If an event is canceled due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, refunds may not be provided.

6. Trail & Course Conditions
Participants understand that race routes may include:
• Paved surfaces
• Gravel paths
• Dirt trails
• Natural terrain
• Uneven or slippery areas
Participants agree to exercise caution throughout the course and accept responsibility for navigating varying trail conditions safely.

7. Conduct & Safety
Kharites Works reserves the right to remove any participant from the event for:
• Unsafe behavior
• Harassment or abusive conduct
• Disorderly behavior
• Failure to follow event rules or staff instructions
Participants are expected to treat fellow runners, volunteers, staff, and community members with respect.

8. Photography & Media Release
By participating, participants grant Kharites Works permission to use photographs, videos, audio recordings, or likenesses captured during the event for:
• Social media
• Promotional materials
• Advertising
• Website content
• Future event marketing
No compensation will be provided for such use.
Participants who do not wish to appear in media materials should notify organizers before the event begins.

9. Charity & Fundraising Acknowledgment
Participants understand that Kharites Works is a community-focused nonprofit organization and that proceeds from events may support outreach initiatives, clothing drives, community resources, advocacy efforts, and related charitable programs serving the San Antonio area.

10. Event Changes
Kharites Works reserves the right to:
• Change start times
• Modify race routes
• Adjust participant limits
• Update policies or procedures
• Substitute swag, medals, or merchandise when necessary
Participants will be notified of significant updates when reasonably possible.

By registering for or participating in the event, participants confirm that they:
