Kind Earth is a working group within Houston Peace & Justice Center. We’re a warm, welcoming community rooted in the belief that all forms of injustice are interconnected and that the innate kindness within every person is key to change to world.

We empower compassionate, healthy, and sustainable plant-based living through education, support, and community. Our mission is to foster both individual transformation and collective action for a kinder world for all.

What We Do
- Compassion in Action: We lead awareness campaigns and cultural change initiatives to build a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world for all.
- Connecting Through Community: We host uplifting gatherings and events that nurture meaningful connections, encourage self-growth, and inspire meaningful change.
- Providing Nutrition & Lifestyle Support: We offer resources, guidance, and encouragement for transitioning to plant-based living, including nutrition tips, recipes, and ongoing support.
- Collaborating for Impact: We partner with diverse advocates and organizations to share knowledge, amplify voices, and strengthen our collective power.
- Growing Through Feedback: We welcome positive and constructive feedback as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow stronger together.

We The Free Houston will be volunteering at Houston Mini Pig Rescue & Farm Sanctuary this Sunday! 🐷

No public restroom is available at the sanctuary.
This is our chance to help rescued animals, support the sanctuary, and connect with other animal lovers. 🐾💗
🍕 Bonus! After volunteering, we’ll be heading to Pythagoras for lunch, where each volunteer will receive a FREE VEGAN PIZZA as a thank-you for your time and effort! 💚

Join Plant-Based Treaty Houston at AliefVotes’ Disaster Preparedness Roundtable on 9/13. We’ll be connecting and discussing with climate leaders, organizations, and city and county offices about the importance of including plant-based solutions in disaster preparedness plans to ensure a more sustainable and resilient community.

Join us for an insightful event on disaster preparedness at the Alief Neighborhood Center on September 13, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM. You’ll hear from Rev. Mark Brown, CEO of West Houston Assistance Ministries; Sarai Robinson from Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas' Office of District F; The City of Houston Office of Emergency Management; and Miracle Bui, Alief Community Engagement Coordinator from Precinct 4.
From 12 PM to 1 PM, enjoy a free lunch and green smoothies while participating in a student-led discussion on disaster preparedness. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and help shape our disaster prep report, which will be shared with government leaders and nonprofits. Your voice matters!
