Lower Esopus Creek kayaking -challenge - natural dam removal, bushcraft on water

Details
We will kayak down the Esopus Creek about 15 min. to a natural dam that has formed from fallen trees and logs and is forming a barrier to going further down the river. I have a canoe that can fit 2-3 people and can also bring a kayak and a hand saw for anyone who needs one. Please let me know if you need it or if you are bringing your own boat. Part of the challenge is only using hand saws, no power tools. It requires a little portaging to get to the other side of the dam, then figuring out which logs to cut and send down the river safely, some of them are huge. Not expected that task will be accomplished on 1st. try.
