April Monthly Meetup: Production meeting

Whether you're looking to step into the limelight for the first time or you're an experienced filmmaker eager to craft your next great short film, we've got a place for you.

Don't let your dreams be dreams. Join our monthly meetup where novices and veterans alike come together to share insights, collaborate on projects, and bring their unique visions to life on screen. This is also your chance to mentor, to be inspired, and to create something truly memorable.

To foster film quality, we're transitioning from a monthly to a bi-monthly challenge: you now have two months to produce a film with the support of our community.

This cycle theme is "Renewal or Rebirth".

All the films produced will be screened on June 6th.

Kino is a global filmmaker movement, Kino Red Dot is the Singapore chapter and we aim to create a safe environment for people to practice and learn by doing their craft and art as often as possible from the page to the screen.

Our motto is: Do well with nothing, do better with a little, do it now.

In this meetup, you will have the opportunity to:

• Register and pitch your film project, articulate your needs, and seek the necessary support.
• Sign up to participate in a film project, whether as an actor, actress, or crew member.
• Enroll for mentoring and assistance from experienced kinoistas.
• Register for our community workshops, designed to enhance your skills and provide guidance on the next steps should you encounter any obstacles (please note, some workshops may incur a fee).

🎓 ~8:30pm: Film project pitching
😋 ~9:00pm : Enjoy drinks from Crane Café, network, and build teams

We kindly request members to hold an active subscription for each screening month to secure attendance (S$30 annually), subscriptions can conveniently be settled before or during the meetup.

Because we want to be inclusive to all our members, there is no competition, no prizes, no money, just the pleasure of making movies, practicing (practice and practice again) together, screen the results and make friends.

We won’t allow external drinks, and will ask you to buy them at Crane Café.
