Kayak Polo is a co-ed group who play a unique game of water polo in Kayaks every Wednesday between from 6 to 8 PM, mainly at Kirkland’s Marsh Park. Kayaks, rules and ball provided! All you need is the water gear like warm wear in the colder months and a towel! Sign up, show up, we'll teach you the rules!
There is a $10/year member fee to help cover the costs of boat maintenance and Meetup Organizer Fees and a $1-5 Fee per game to help with gas. Please pay those directly to Steve at the game.
Play as easy or hard as you like. Leave when you want. The goal of the game is to have a good time! Two teams, paddle to the ball, toss it around until you hit something. Preferably the opponents buoy(ˈbo͞oē,boi) Goal!
What's the score you ask?? We don't know, or we don't keep track, until time to go home. Then it's Win-By-Two!
Bring a PFD if you like. Wear a helmet if you like. You might get hit with a paddle but most likely not. I can't remember the last time someone got hurt, but this is a "play at your own risk" game. We have a waiver to sign. :0
We have boats and paddles. Wear weather appropriate gear. We try and play year-round if there's enough players. We need minimum of 6 to play. Ask us anything else not covered here! We might know the answer?
