Chalisas & Chai
Kirtan Haus, Washburn Ave S, Minneapolis, MN, USJoin kirtan leader Parvati for this weekly gathering to sing the Hanuman Chalisa. Whether you already know it or not, the cadence of the music and the transliterated chant sheets will enable you to sing along without too much difficulty.
The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40-verse chant in praise of Hanuman, written in the ancient language of Awadhi. It invokes Hanuman as the very breath of Ram. Many believe that chanting this prayer gives us the strength to get through difficult times with compassion and grace.
"Every line of the Hanuman Chalisa is a Mahamantra."

About the Artist:
Parvati (Pascale LaPoint) has been on the bhakti path since 2008. She has chanted with the Midwest community during many events and festivals under the band name “Kirtan Path.” Parvati is a follower of the great Indian saint Baba Neem Karoli. She received her spiritual name from Shri Siddhi Ma in 2016. In that lineage, the Hanuman Chalisa is an important prayer that is sung frequently. Parvati has led Hanuman Chalisa workshops on several occasions, and weekly gatherings over many years.1 attendee
