American Lake Backpack Trip

See the fall huckleberry colours and take a day off from civilisation.
Backpacking 6.89 miles to American Lake, located South of Chinook Pass. Most of this trail is over the PCT. American Lake is a wonderful alpine lake located in a wooded area, but the area around the lake is mostly open.

Elevation Gain 1156 feet going in, 1330 exiting.
NW Forest or Nat Park Access Pass required to park without getting parking ticket (Saw them gleefully making up for budget cuts my last trip).
