In this meditation day course we will explore the Buddhist understanding of what happens when we die, and how we can deal with death with a calm and fearless mind. Having come to terms with our own mortality, we will then be in a position to benefit and support others who are close to dying.
The Buddhist understanding of death and dying is extremely beneficial. It is based on understandings from those who have directly experienced the indestructible nature of consciousness in meditation and it has been affirmed through many generations of practitioners.
Gen Dragpa will explain the best way to help ourself to live our life to the fullest with a recognition of impermanence and how to practically help those who are dying so they can continue their journey in a peaceful and happy way.
Main takeaways of this course are :
- Developing a clear understanding of the death process
- How to be able to accept death
- How to experience a meaningful life and benefit yourself and others by contemplating and meditating on death
