Talk 1: Introduction to KNIME and AI Agents without Coding
Speaker: Rosaria, VP Evangelism, KNIMEThe introduction of AI has significantly lowered the barrier for the access to data science. Let's lower the other barrier then, the coding barrier! KNIME is not new to lowering the coding barrier. Ever since its first version KNIME Analytics Platform has adopted visual programming to provide a more comfortable low code based experience for the data professionals. After a short introduction to KNIME Analytics Platform, I will show how to build an AI based workflow and how to assemble an agentic system of tools and agents. All without coding.
5:05 PM - 5:35 PM
Talk 2: AI Integration of KNIME Analytics Platform into Academic Curricula and Professional Development Programs
Speaker: Henry Leong, Senior Lecturer, Republic PolytechnicIn this session, we will explore the integration of KNIME Analytics Platform into academic curricula and professional development programs. We'll discuss how KNIME's intuitive, low-code interface enhances data science education, facilitates student engagement, and prepares learners for industry-recognized certifications. Additionally, we'll showcase practical applications of KNIME in final year projects and Continuous Education and Training (CET) initiatives, demonstrating its versatility in fostering data literacy and analytical skills across various educational contexts.
5:35 PM - 6:05 PM
Talk 3: Education at Scale in the AI Era: Friend, Fiend or Fundamental Shift?
Speaker: Santosh Nair, Regional Head of Innovation and Process Consulting, APAC IT Siemens HealthineersThis session delves into the practical challenges and strategies for educating large groups effectively, drawing lessons from experiences in large organisations. We'll also explore one of the most pressing questions: the role of Artificial Intelligence. Is AI a 'friend,' augmenting our capabilities and democratizing knowledge, or a 'fiend,' threatening established roles and learning paradigms?
6:05 PM - 6:30 PM
Talk 4 : KNIME for Engineering-AI Research
Speaker: Ir. Dr. Nickholas Anting Anak Guntor, Associate Professor Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment Universiti Tun Hussein Onn MalaysiaThis session highlights and demonstrates the application of KNIME as a powerful data science and AI platform for Engineering-AI research. I will discuss how KNIME can be integrated as a primary research tool in areas such as materials optimization, predictive maintenance in the energy sector, and structural health monitoring for detecting concrete leakage. Additionally, I will explain how KNIME helps researchers and engineers save time and reduce costs in their analytical workflows.
