What we’re about

Knit+Wine is a community knitting group in Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill, Brooklyn founded in 2009 by local artist Megan Canning.

Everyone brings whatever they are working on and we sit around together and talk, work, share, help one another -- and drink wine! We generally meet on the last Sunday of every month.

All levels are welcome, but please keep in mind that there are no lessons, so it's fine for beginners, but not best for those without any prior knowledge. Space is limited to just 15 attendees,so it is best to reserve your spot early!

Please note: There is a $3 charge to attend a MeetUp. This nominal fee was instituted to help cover the fees Meetup charges its event organizers to use their system, and also to ensure that everyone who rsvp's does indeed show up. I hope this does not deter anyone from attending.

Join us for our next Knit+Wine Night on Sunday, May 19th from 5-7:00pm. Please note that space is limited to 15 people.

For those of you who are new to Knit+Wine Night, this is an informal community event for knitters (& other crafters and textile enthusiasts) to come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other makers. All types of knitters, crocheters, and fiber crafters are welcome! This is *not* a class.

The cafe has a focused menu of beverages, including tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a small selection of pastries. Please note you must make a purchase in order to enter the cafe.

Our hostess Meghan will be embarking on a new adventure and has passed torch to me. She will be sorely missed. I'm honored to keep the group together and the meetings organized each month. I've changed the preference from payment from Paypal to Venmo. You can reach me at Anouche-Mardirossian on Vemno for your $3.00 payment to reserve your space.

(BTW if you are new to the group and wondering why there is a small registration fee, it's to help offset the fees MeetUp charges event organizers to use their website. It does not go towards food & drink purchases. Nor my own wallet :).
