Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Blankets are donated to hospitals, homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters, among others.

For this project, we'll be making granny squares - you can make however many you'd like - then we'll collect them and sew them into blankets.

**Don't know how to crochet or have never made granny squares? No problem, we'll show you how!**
We'll be using the following pattern which also has very detailed and clear video instructions:

So this event will be in 2 parts:
**Cast on party: Sat June 1**. Get your yarn, learn how to make a granny square and cast on.
**Wrap up party: Sun, July 21**. Bring in your finished squares, weave in ends, and mix and match to create blankets.
Kindly only RSVP if you can commit to making at least 3 granny squares during this time frame.

**What to bring?**
Yarn: Bring all your scraps and leftovers! **NO WOOLS**, washable materials preferred. We'll also have some yarn to share.
Hooks: **Bring your own**, we recommend sizes E-H (3.5mm-5mm).
