21st Annual Eagle Festival
Details
While you can enjoy viewing bald eagles year-round at Reelfoot Lake, the best time to see the highest volume is in the winter. The park hosts the annual Eagle Festival and offers guided bus tours throughout January and February to help visitors find and enjoy these birds. There are also various other activities available.
We will be heading to Reelfoot Lake Park January 30th and camping in the South Campground. This campground is a great base camp for viewing eagles. In addition to enjoying these magnificent birds from the land we will also launch our kayaks and search them out by water. This is a beautiful lake, and it is also a favorite place for duck hunters. The water trails and duck blinds are unbelievable.
We have two campsites reserved, good for six tents (12 people). If you would like to camp with us, the camping slots are first come. We will split the cost of the campsite. These are primitive camp sites 1 and 2. There are restroom facilities available. Other sites are available, just follow the following link to make reservations.

Don’t forget this is February and even when it is warm it is still cold. Pack your winter gear and if you plan to get on the water bring clothes suitable for the water. You must have a lifejacket and wearing it while on the water.
