-This is Easter Weekend, so you Know. -

Let's go North for a weekend trip with a couple day hikes.
How about we do McAfee Knob on Saturday April 4th.
Then if the weather is good on Sunday, we can catch Dragon Teeth.

Important:
(9:30 am is at the trailhead and 9:32 am is the start of the hike)
Again, the hike starts at 9:32 AM from the trailhead! Arrange to arrive at the trailhead on time. This is a hike that can take 6 to 8 hours to complete.

(I have booked the 8:00 am shuttle from Downtown Salem for Kathy and me.)

*Then the famous Dragon Teeth on Sunday April 5th if the weather is good.

Here's what I have in mind:
We stay in Salam, VA
*You will need to arrange you're on logging.

** For Saturday's Hike, you will need to buy your ticket for the shuttle bus to and from the McAfee Knob Trailhead. (The cost is $10.60+tax for a round-trip ticket.)

* I would go ahead and book you spot on the shuttle as there are only 20 seats per shuttle and they could fill up quickly.
Search for McAfee Knob shuttle or go to McAfee Knob Shuttle link to book your ride.

* I have booked the 8:00 am shuttle for Kathy and me from the Downtown Salem Pickup lot.

You will see that there are at least 4 different lots that the shuttle picks up from. Choose any of them but make sure it will arrive at McAfee Knob Trailhead before the 9:32 am start time.

**The trailhead parking is back open if you choose to drive up, but it fills up quickly as well.

This hike can take a long time to complete. So do it at your pace.

**After the hike; We will meet back up in town for some food and drinks if you wish to join us.

*On Sunday, if you would like to join us, some of us will again ride the shuttle bus up the mountain this time going to the Dragon's Tooth Trailhead.
Then we will hike out and back before riding the shuttle bus back to town. This hike will start from the Dragon's Tooth Trailhead at 9:30 am.
