Hike with a Swim series: Curry Mtn. to the Sinks, then Splash!
Details
This is a 8.7 mile hike.
Lets take a hike then cool off afterwards with a dip and swim at the Sinks.
We will meet in the Meigs Creek Trail (Sinks) parking area. Then shuttle over to Metcalf Bottoms to park our shuttle vehicle. Walking up the road a short distance to the Curry Mountain Trailhead then head up the mountain (3.3 miles). At the junction we will turn right and take Meigs Mountain Trail (1.9 miles) until it meets up with Meigs Creek Trail. Here we will go down Meigs Creeks (3.5 miles) to the Sinks and our vehicles. At this point, anyone that wishes to, can join us as we take a swim in the cool waters below the Sinks Falls.
** For those that wish to join us, we will meet up at the Townsend Abbey after the hike for food and a drink.
