Anthony Creek-Crib Gap loop

Let's talk a little walk up and around the mountains at Cades Cove.

This hike is 8.5 miles +/- and around 2,251 ft of gain.

*This hike is just what you need to build up an appetite for the evenings main event, 'The Low Country Boil'.
If you haven't signed up for the Boil, make sure and do so. It is a separate event and post.
The Boil and gathering is one of our biggest get togethers of the year.
There will be lots of fun had by all that attend.

-Now back to the leadup hike. -
We will meet at the back of the picnic area at the Anthony Creek Trailhead by 9:30 am.
Then we will start up the Anthony Creek Trail (3.5 miles) to the Bote Mountain junction. We will then start down Bote Mtn (1.2 miles) to the Lead Cove junction. Once there we will turn down Lead Cove (1.8 miles). Once down we will go over to the tunnel under Laurel Creek Rd (yes, there is a short tunnel) taking it to the other side and to the Crib Gap Trail where we will turn back towards Anthony Creek and then back to where we started.

PS; After the hike make sure you come join us back at camp and enjoy the evening with us around the firepit.
