Empathy is the ability to share another person's thoughts and feelings, and see things from their point of view. When we lack empathy, we only see things from our own point of view, and this leads to disharmony and division. We need to cultivate empathy so that we can relate to others from the heart and erode feelings of disconnection and 'otherness'
Through training in a special meditation practice called 'exchanging self with other's, we can begin to develop a profound type of empathy and, from that ground, grow the altruistic minds of universal love and compassion.
