After a wonderful kickoff open mic, we’re gathering again, this time for a relaxed, conversational meetup focused on craft, process, and the real questions writers carry with them. Coffee & Craft Talk is exactly what it sounds like: a welcoming space to sip your cafe drink of choice, connect with other writers, and talk honestly about our work. We’ll share experiences and learn from one another in a way that’s thoughtful and unpretentious. You’re welcome whether you’re actively drafting, revising, querying, submitting, or just trying to stay connected to your writing life.

📚 Do you love reading, but wish you had a structure and a community to share your insights with? Join our small circle of curious minds (just 4 members per gathering) as we come together for an hour of focused reading—in the calm setting of a library or the cozy atmosphere of a café. Here’s how it works: First part: Quiet reading on your own—bring a book you’re exploring, whether it’s philosophy, history, psychology, literature, or anything meaningful to you. Second part: We regroup and each person shares key takeaways, insights, or questions sparked by their reading. This sparks a structured yet free-flowing conversation around ideas, perspectives, and personal reflections. Why join? Add structure to your reading habit. Discover new books, authors, and ideas through others’ choices. Build real connections by sharing and listening deeply. Socialize around something meaningful instead of small talk.

First Friday Spades in Columbia at The Green Turtle, 6:00 - 12:00am. The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille 8872 McGaw Rd Ste C, Columbia, MD 21045 😀 The event location is 1.5 hours from Wilmington, Delaware. 😀 All skill levels are welcome. Bring a partner or come alone - we will pair you up on the spot. We supply the cards, paper, and pens. Please support the business by ordering food and drinks. Don't forget to tip your server! Plenty of free parking available.

You write your name and what language you speak and what language you would like to exchange. ***GRAB A DRINK AND YOU ARE ALL SET TO FLEX YOUR LANGUAGE CAPACITY. YOU NEED TO GET AT LEAST A DRINK OR FOOD :) To get the event going and show support. We know that you like our events. P.S. : We have non-alcoholic drinks as well.*** We have a tiny venue and we hit capacity often and early arrival is suggested. We have the discretion to decide entry. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange. Most of our members complained about people writing in the comment box. Since it sends notification to all attendees. If you have any questions, send a message to the organizers. Don't write in the comment box. 8. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for solicitation. We don't allow anyone to run their own agenda at the Event. Don't be shy of your local languages. We have diplomates assigned to different countries, who would love to practice your languages. 11\. Join DC Metro Crafts for the first 2026 meetup! We'll be at Quill and Crumbs, the cafe at the Shakespeare Folger Library. The Shakespeare Folger Library is about 3 blocks from the Capitol South metro. Head up First as you get out of the station, pass the Library of Congress and the Capitol, turn right on East Capitol, and the Folger is on the right. The entrance is around the side, not through the front of the building. The cafe is upstairs. Bring your own cross stitch, knitting, crochet, or other portable craft. We'll be in the back at the group tables.

*Please Note: This venue has stairs and is not handicap accessible.* Why craft alone when you can enjoy the company of others who LOVE crafting/"arting" as much as you do! Papercrafters, knitters, paint artists, doodlers....all are welcome. Join us every first Saturday from 1-4PM, in Columbia, MD, for an afternoon of craft time. My home studio. BYO materials. (Papercrafters- enjoy my extensive materials "library" for $5) RSVP required. Space is limited to 10

Come Craft with us. Don't let the lack of RSVPs stop you, they aren't required, nor is membership to our group. Bring your project and join a boisterous group of crafters in the Cafe on first floor. This glass surrounded space is climate controlled and has the most beautiful light for crafting.

Let's get together virtually! We can chat, show off our current projects, and get some support from our fellow yarn addicts. I have set up a Zoom meeting that anyone with a computer (phones count) with the free Zoom app can access. By Saturday, I will send a meeting ID to all attendees through meetup.

Let's spend an afternoon at the new Moongate Cafe at the National Museum of Asian Art! You can enjoy the cafe or explore the museum and draw from the wonderful exhibits there. We will meet just inside of the main entrance and move to the cafe. We can reconvene at 3:30 PM to share our drawings with each other if people are comfortable with that. **Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork. My goal is to spend time enjoying one another’s company while making a work of art that will be displayed within our community. I plan to teach people to crochet (if unfamiliar) while also inviting current fiber artists to join us for some much-needed social interaction. There are no expectations from those who attend, materials will be included, and any amount of participation is welcome! If you have a favorite crochet hook or current project you are welcome to bring that along too! The primary goal is to foster a safe space for our community to chat, create and be. CHANGED to WEDNESDAYS COLUMBUS RECREATION CENTERS require membership fee to play. Register & Pay at the desk when you arrive. $5 day pass is available. I have some extra pickle ball paddles and balls if you don’t have one. Definitely bring your own paddle if you have one and bring some balls if you have them.
