Hello heroes, Have you always wanted to go on a grand adventure in a fantasy time? Maybe you dream of piloting a starship across a galaxy at war? Do you wish you could duel outlaws in the wild, wild west? Now you can! Through roleplaying we get become fantastic characters and tell exciting stories together. If you've always wanted to try roleplaying but never gotten the chance, this class is for you. In three hours I will take you from having no roleplaying experience to playing a game of Dungeons and Dragons. While this workshop will focus on fantasy roleplaying, the lessons learned translate well to any setting or time period. If you enjoy the class and want to continue your foray into roleplaying, our host (Around The Table) is home to many great drop-in games and carries lots of materials to get you started in any setting. All proceeds will go toward a new makerspace!
Tired of long setup times when you pull out a board game, and a million baggies full of random tokens and cards to organize every time you play? Come learn how to make custom foam core inserts for your board games! The class will teach you the proper technique for designing and assembling foam core inserts for your board game, including some lessons learned and things to avoid for a smoother, faster, easier process. In class we will build a small dice tray or token box, whichever you prefer. There will be examples of completed inserts which work well, as well as a few examples of mistakes to be avoided. Feel free to bring a small game to use as a starting point for measuring and designing your first insert (ideally something with a small number of components that has some extra space in the box, for example, Bang the dice game, Carcassone, Kingdomino, etc.)
This is our monthly CLIFF meeting! If you would like to volunteer for North End Makers, teach a class, or just want to see what we're up to then this is a great meeting to attend. This event will have limited space as we are in the back room of Around the Table.
This is a casual social night for folks to get to know each other and show what we've been working on. Bring a friend, bring a project, and bring a smile. We're looking for community members to run more of these events. If you are interested in organizing future Make & Shares, let us know!
