What we’re about

Mindfulness Meditation is a set of teachings and practices derived from Theravada Buddhism, yet one need does not need to be a Buddhist, or religious at all, to benefit from the wisdom of these teachings. Mindfulness Meditation is a secular science of the mind that will help you to reduce anxiety and stress and to cultivate contentment and inner peace. Beginners and experienced practitioners from all backgrounds are welcome. A sincere desire to practice is all that is necessary.

We'll practice for 60 minutes, including a brief dharma talk and Q&A towards the end.

While you can practice on a meditation app in the comfort of your home, it's important to practice with others. We practice together not only to develop discipline and commitment to our practice, but also to strengthen connection to one another--something needed in this day and age more than ever.

As The Buddha said "“The jewel of community, the Sangha, is to be held equal to the Buddha and the Dharma. Indeed, the whole of the holy life is fulfilled through spiritual friendship.”
