Shogi Hangout Wednesday in Koenji

Grab a drink, have a burger, play some shogi.

Shogi hangout in Koenji for those interested in learning the game or playing a few casual games with new pals. All levels welcome!

Beginner board available, no need to learn any Kanji.

Can teach for those new to the game. Easier to learn than you'd think, especially if you've played normal chess.

Tournament-sized shogi boards and miscellaneous styles of traditional wooden pieces.

Time: 6:00-10:00 PM

SHOGI on Wednesday, twice a month. Aiming for the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Check the event page for details and updates.

CHESS available at the same time and place. The price of one event covers both events.

There's more interest for Western Chess, but trying to get more interest in different chess games, including both Shogi (Japanese Chess) and Xiangqi (Chinese Chess). Have multiple copies of all 3 games, just ask :)
