Kohala Coast Dive Club

Join us on this dive Excursion with a purpose!
Kohala Divers will be hosting Ocean Defenders Alliance and donating a 2 tank dive trip aiming to remove fishing line, rubbish, and nets from the reef.

-Check-in will be at Kohala Divers at 7:30 in the morning (dive certification cards required if you have not come out with us before).
- Everyone MUST complete a dive liability waiver in the shop (or online) and sign in prior to the dive.
- We will provide some cutting tools, numbers are limited, recommended you bring your own if you have it.

REQUIREMENTS:

• $65 donation to support ocean defenders alliances' efforts, (This will include your scuba tanks and weights)
• Have 50 plus dives
• Have dove recently with KDL or at a cleanup event
• Able to dive with a buddy independent of a guide (DM's will be monitoring but not guiding)
• Able to board the dive boat in full gear
• GLOVES *No exceptions* (we will provide some gloves, if you have your own recommended to use those)
• **These may be live boat dives, rules must be followed as provided by the professional dive teams**

Optional:
Nitrox tanks for rent $10 each)
Dive gear available for rent if needed

This is a special event day packed full of goodies!

Let's gear up for another Kohala Divers Adopt-the-Blue/Channel cleanup! Spread the word we want a very large group! IF we have enough volunteers this will be a 2 site cleanup! Kawaihae Surfpark and a "muck" dive/cleanup in the small channel near the Matson Containership dock. This is a very popular fishing spot for the locals so we expect to pull out a lot of fishing line, lead weights, and rubbish.

**PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY AT THE SHOP TO GET YOUR TANK AND GEAR YOU MAY NEED. BRIEFING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 9:00 am!**

Where: Briefing will be at Kawaihae Surfpark at 9:00 AM, please arrive early to get gear and sign waiver at the shop
Requirements:
-Open Water Certification
-GLOVES (no exceptions)
-Dive buddy (groups will be assigned on site)

Kohala Divers will provide a free tank for the event, rubbish collection bags, a couple cutting tools (if you have your own please bring or purchase at the shop!), and gloves (if you have your own please bring).
