About us

Welcome to the Konenki Menopause Support Group!

In Japanese culture, "Konenki" signifies "renewal years" and "energy," reflecting a positive and empowering perspective on menopause as a time of personal growth and transformation.

Our group is dedicated to embracing this philosophy by providing a supportive community for women navigating the peri-menopausal and menopausal journey. We offer both online and in-person events, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all members. All events are free or low-cost, with any fees solely covering food or facility expenses.

We are proud to collaborate with the region's most highly-vetted menopause providers, who will share their expertise and offer educational sessions at our events.

Join us to connect with like-minded women, gain valuable insights, and celebrate this transformative phase of life together.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community!

Midlife health is rarely one thing. Most of the time, it is several things at once, and they make far more sense together than apart.

    • One conversation looks at mood and mental health in midlife, and how everyday support and medication can work together rather than competing.
    • Another looks at food and nourishment, and how simple cooking can quietly steady your energy and your hormones.
    • A third looks at the nervous system and your sense of self, including a live EFT tapping practice you can keep using at home.

    About the Speakers

    • Erin Tanner, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C, founder of Achieve Mental Health and Wellness, on mood, mental health, and where medication fits alongside everything else.
    • Debbie Brosnan of The Effortless Kitchen, an Amazon bestselling cookbook author, on how simple, nourishing cooking supports your energy and hormones.
    • Carrie Neveldine of Vibrant Over 50, a Health and Wellness Coach and EFT practitioner, on the nervous system, identity, and a live tapping practice you can take home.

A moderated panel with an opening breathwork moment, live questions, and a closing tapping session.

    • What is actually changing in your body hormonally, and why your stress capacity is lower right now
    • How to look honestly at your marriage and your options, without assuming divorce is the only ending
    • What the real paths through divorce look like, from mediation to litigation, so the legal side feels less like a black box

Partners/husband are encouraged and welcome to attend.

The kids are grown, the house is quiet, and now it is just the two of you again. This free, live evening is about midlife intimacy, when your relationship, your body, and your sense of self are all shifting at once.
Three Vetted Konenki Providers, three angles:

    • Rebuilding a relationship that was built around parenting, once the kids are grown.
    • What is happening hormonally in midlife, for women and for men, and why connection matters for more than the bedroom.
    • The identity shift of this chapter, and who you are becoming in it.

    Speakers:

    • Russell Betts (Russell Betts & Associates, LLC) on rebuilding the relationship after the parenting years.
    • Nancy J. Roy, AG-ACNP-BC (Innovative Health & Well Being) on midlife hormones for women and men, and the benefits of staying close.
    • Micheline Foss, MS, MEd., CSMC (Aging Boldly) on identity and reinvention in midlife.

Three short individual talks followed by a live Q&A, so you can ask your own questions.
