Talks
1) The AI Gateway Pattern: Adopt AI and Multi-LLM strategies in a Secure and Governable Way
The AI Gateway Pattern enables organizations to adopt and securely govern AI technologies like large language models (LLMs) at scale. Acting as a centralized control plane, it streamlines data flow into AI models, ensures proper data handling and compliance, and simplifies the management of multiple LLMs. This architectural pattern empowers organizations to leverage AI's strengths while mitigating risks, maintaining performance, and adapting to evolving technologies.
2) A Skeptic's Guide to Generative AI in the SDLC
Hallucinations, non-deterministic results, and continents' worth of energy consumption--these problems have no real solution. We're stuck with them. What if a 30% productivity gain is as good as we get? The real question is, how can we factor these uncertainties into the productivity gains we get from the tools? I will cover the promises, the realities, and the current/future states of Generative AI. We will acknowledge the unmovable realities getting in the way of the unstoppable fantasies, and help you separate the grift from the benefits.
