KORUS Korean Festival - Planning Meeting!

The KORUS festival needs volunteers to help out. The festival is a 3 day celebration of Korean/American culture... the largest in the DC area (and probably on the East Coast). This will be our 3rd year helping the festival, and we have a larger role this year. The festival will be in September (near the time of the Korean thanksgiving holiday "Chuseok"). The name KORUS is for KORean and US.
Same as in 2011 and 2012, we've been asked to help brainstorm, plan, learn, plan other special events, along with discuss other ideas such as what performers to have.
Most of the people attending are not group members - they are members of the non-profit (KAAW), or other planning volunteers. The formal meeting starts at 6:30pm, but we are to arrive and meet-&-greet from 6 to 6:30.
There is no cost to attend. Park in the numbered spots for the building - 7004 - there are many in the parking lot.
This event is part of a special series of meetings at the KAAW - Korean-American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area (http://www.koreanassociation.org/). KAAW is the non-profit that has organized the KORUS festivals every year.
Join us as we plan and help make this year's event bigger and better than ever!
No experience needed! No Korean language ability needed. The meeting will be held in Korean with English as well. The meeting will be a discussion of what needs to happen, and a chance to find out what you can do to help out this summer.

The annual KORUS festival held each fall in Virginia, bringing together thousands of fans of Korean culture: music, food, entertainment, language, and more. The 3-day event offers live performances, with food available from many vendors.
Note: meeting formal start time is 6:30pm.
Background:
The first festival was held in 2003 in Northern Virginia. Over the next several years, the size and reach of the event grew. The 2010 festival in Annandale, VA, had an estimate 70,000 attendees over 3 days. In 2012 the event was held in Bull Run Park in Virginia.

Bboys - hip hop dance group JUMP! (Martial arts comedy show) Mikyoung Park - Korean singer Kaba Modern - musical group Kim Chung Soo - singer Gamblerz Crew - hip hop dance group traditional Korean dancers Delicious food dishes served at the festival include bulgogi, kalbi, and ddokbokki, with side dishes including kimchi and rice.
