Details

Hello fellow Kotliners!

The peopz over at Deutsche Telekom will host us in April.
So, let's get together again.

Line-Up:
First Talk: "From Android to Kotlin Multiplatform" by Nicole Terc

A share back of my experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform as an Android Developer. In this talk, I'll go over my learnings and hiccups when starting a multiplatform project from scratch; what was great, what slowed me down. After this talk, I hope you get inspired to start your own multiplatform projects, as seamlessly as possible.

Second Talk: "OpenAPI: Building a Parser in Kotlin" by Mario Bodemann

How do Open API specifications work and what are they for? What are $refs? And how do you build an app that reconfigures its UI based on new open API specifications? Let's talk about my approach and I'll show you some code, let you read some api specifications and hope you get excited about the intricate details about parsing and open api spec.

Third Talk: "Inlining Your Kotlin Functions: A Deep Dive into Inlining and How to Use It" by Merab Tato Kutalia

Inlining functions is a powerful feature of Kotlin that can help optimize the performance of your code. In this talk, we'll explore the ins and outs of inlining functions, including how to define them and how to use them with lambdas and higher-order functions. We'll also discuss some of the trade-offs of inlining, such as increased code complexity and compile-time overhead.

We'll provide real-world examples of how to use inlining in Kotlin projects, such as optimizing performance-critical code and reducing the size of generated bytecode. By the end of this talk, you'll have a deep understanding of inlining functions in Kotlin and be able to apply this knowledge to boost the performance of your own Kotlin projects.
