Kotlin Everywhere "At the Bar"

Details
Kotlin is a modern and statically-typed programming language targeting the JVM, Android, JavaScript & Native that will boost your productivity and increase your developer happiness.
It’s concise, safe, interoperable and tool-friendly! Recently, Google has announced a “Kotlin first” approach in Android, driving more and more developers to move from Java to Kotlin.
AT&T Israel and KotlinTLV Community are happy to host the second Kotlin Everywhere meetup in Tel Aviv (Part of Kotlin Everywhere Worldwide Events: https://events.withgoogle.com/kotlin-everywhere).
Join us for a fascinating evening where we will take you on a journey through Kotlin and some of its more interesting topics. Topics include key features, Coroutines, Flows and how to write Unit Tests with Idiomatic Kotlin.
The event will take place on Monday November 11 at Polly bar, Rothschild Blvd 60, Tel Aviv.
Agenda:
18:30 - Doors Open & Networking
19:30 - Talks Begin
*The talks will be held in Hebrew
See you at the bar ;)
====================================================================
--> 1st Session: Kotlin - the future of Java - Ofir Meguri
This session will review what Kotlin is, why we should use it and why programmers love it so much.
--> 2nd session: Unit Testing with Idiomatic Kotlin - Yaniv Nahoum
As seasoned java developers, when we attempt to “translate” our unit tests to Kotlin, we end up with sub-optimal code (to say the least).
In this session, you’ll get some tips & tricks that will let you get rid of the “Java accent” and write your tests in idiomatic Kotlin.
--> 3rd Session: Coroutines – Asynchronous code that is perfectly readable - Alexey Korolev
On this session we will learn how to write asynchronous code with Kotlin’s Coroutines.
