What we’re about
Kubb, often called “Viking chess,” is a Scandinavian lawn game with legendary ties to the Viking Age. According to lore, warriors once played it with the bones of their enemies, though today it’s played with carved wooden blocks. Two teams face off, tossing batons to knock over kubbs before aiming for the central king—victory if struck at the right time, defeat if too soon. Mixing skill, strategy, and a touch of Viking spirit, kubb remains a beloved game across Scandinavia and beyond.
