What we’re about
KulturSalon Wien is an active hub for collective art appreciation and for exploring, promoting, and cultivating new interdisciplinary endeavors in Vienna. Interconnecting a wide range of independent visual and performing artists, writers, filmmakers, academics, philosophers, and socially-minded champions of creative community with a network that values cultural efflorescence, the salon is a place where creativity is supported and fostered, and where foresighted alliances are forged.
Current ongoing programs include the development of a new paradigm for making contemporary fine arts publicly available and readily accessible at diverse physical locations in Vienna, including a new Living Art showroom in 1050 Vienna; FilmStory, a weekend meetup with a closely knit community of cinephiles that integrates screenings of great, rare films with group discussion among friends; and the ongoing development of ACT! - a new, socially and politically conscious theater ensemble.
