Bear 🐻 Valley Springs, Tehachapi. Hike & Food Together Afterwards

Details
Save the date!
Lots of fun 🤩
We will meet at Cub Lake, which comes up right in Google Maps. There are restrooms right there too.
Suzanne’s photo from last year in June 2024 is the cover shot 📸
We finally have a date that works for all of us coordinating and/or living there: Sheila, Tom, Suzanne & Paul, and Mike.
Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community, so we’ll need to provide your name as guests for entry.
More details to come. So this description will be updated.
From Cub Lake, we’ll drop off a couple of vehicles at our hike’s ending point and carpool in a couple of vehicles to our starting point for the hike. We will only be hiking ONE way.
We’ll hike in the beautiful Bear Valley Springs community 6-8 miles. They are “easier” miles, because we are hiking downhill! ⛰️ Something like this recent hike from May 14, 2025 when they had many beautiful flowers 💐 🪻🌸🌷🌺 🌼
6 miles, 300 feet elevation gain 👍😂

And afterwards, we will have a potluck picnic lunch together at Cub Lake. 😋 It’s a pretty setting with picnic tables and grills.
So please bring a “camping type” outdoor chair, so that we can all enjoy the view together & visit, and a nice substantial dish to share!
