Tehachapi Peak or Golden Hills Nature park trail with potluck lunch after.

Details

We will hike up to Tehachapi Peak which is a short but hard hike. There is an option to only go to the landing which is at the end of the fire road and the beginning of the really steep section of the actual trail.
Here's the other, much easier option:
Golden Hills Nature Park has several trail that are very easy, mostly flat and it's about 1/2 mile from my house. See attached photo of the trails. This will be a self guided hike but it is very easy and I am very sure you can't get lost.
Now for the potluck lunch park:
This is a meatless household so please bring a vegetarian dish to share.
There's a million ideas on google. Potato salad, carrot salad, pasta salad, etc....
Or our local supermarkets have fabulous options as well.
Non alcoholic beverages will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own alcohol if you so desire.
Meeting places:
For Tehachapi Mt. hike:
Meet at the entrance to the Campground at 8:50am
Water Canyon Road. Drive to the end. I will post a picture of the entrance later on.
For Golden Hills Nature park hike:
Meet at 9am at the parking lot on Woodford Tehachapi Rd. Across from Golden Hills Motel. (Apparently google has the entrance listed as being on the corner of Woodford Tehachapi rd and Westwood but the parking lot is across from the Hotel.)
All meet up at my house at 12 noon or whenever you finish the hike.
Husbands, Wives, Partners, kids etc. are welcome to join us at the luncheon even if they don't hike.
21216 Indian Wells Dr. (West Golden Hills) Tehachapi.

NOT FOR BEGINNERS. THIS IS A HARD HIKE.
No dogs allowed
