Anyone up for tea, the 7 tea cups are beautiful to look at and experience, 95% of the hike is open so no shade, please bring lots of water. Will meet at the Sierra market in Kernville at 8:30 and proceed from there.
We are all hikers, so please come prepared, sun screen, bug repellent, snacks, water and normal stuff use on a day hike.
the hike is 6 miles round trip.
For your safety: The pace will be averaging 2 MPH so know the trail by downloading it on all trail or similar map source in case you fall behind. The hike is moderate too hard with some scrambling over rocks and creeks, so if scrambling make you uncomfortable this is not a hike for you, please know your level of hiking.
Bakersfield hikers please meet at the Shell station on Comanche & Rte 178 at 7:15am to leave at 7:30 am to meet the group by 8:30 am, will be leaving by 8:40
Any question please address to me thru email, I will get back to you when I can.
Ok a question came up that I like to address.
Can we go swimming at the Tea Cups?
I personally have stuck my feet in but have never gone swimming, so I personally wouldn't recommended it. With that said, 3 Canyoneerers died in August 24,2024 when one decided to go in for a swim, she got caught on a whirlpool and when two others try to help all 3 drown. So once again I wouldn't recommended it.
