Details

We have made a couple of attempts to get close to Upper South Fork Lake with no luck, but 3. time will be it.
Plan is to take Cottonwood Lakes trail towards Long Lake/New Army Pass. Just as we get to Long Lake we will hike cross country to get to the Upper South Fork Lake. We will then find our way to the lower lake and then hike on the trail less travelled, South Fork Creek Trail back. If time allows, we can look for Flat Bottom Lake that sits just below Flat Top and not far off the trail.
There could be some boulder hopping/climbing on this hike so if you are not comfortable with that or with just exploring in general, please don't sign up for this hike.
App. 10 miles
