Join us at Richmond Bar and Grill for a no-host Happy Hour Meet and Greet after work on Friday evening, 10/4/13, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. There is no admission, but please support our host pub Richmond's by ordering the refreshment of your choice.

We will be gathering in the back building and back patio area to share the latest in Mars related happenings here in So Cal, across the country, and elsewhere in the heliosphere. Bring your latest news, gossip, and ideas for future events as we get to know new members and plan future events together.

Hope to see you all to celebrate together what is not only the Feast of Saint Francis, the beginning of International Space Week, and the 56th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik, but also the 9th anniversary of the successful flight of SpaceShipOne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceShipOne) when it won Ansari X Prize (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ansari_X_Prize) for private spaceflight (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_spaceflight), by being the first private craft to fly into space.
