Dinner or Movie ???
Details
Hi friends,
Happy Friday!
I’m running late…gotta leave soon for a children’s camp this weekend.
It’ll be in the Angeles National Forest.
Since gas prices are high, I figure I might check if a few people wanna get together since I’ll be in the area.
Totally understandable many people want to watch their disposable income due to inflation / high gas prices.
If a few people live in/near Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, SGV, Hollywood, DTLA, East LA, South LA, etc…, feel free to lmk and maybe we can plan a small get-together.
I’m also open to watching the movie, Project Hail Mary, maybe at an IMAX 70mm theater.
Or grabbing dinner somewhere for fun conversation is fine too.
I won’t have internet / phone access for much of the weekend, due to the children’s camp…but I’ll try to check for a few minutes on Sat afternoon and Sun afternoon.
.
Btw, when I have time, I’ll post the volunteer – beach day events in Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, La Jolla, and Santa Barbara.
.
Gas prices are wild, so my expectations are low—but if anyone is crazy enough to want to do some camping road trips…this is what I have planned for this year:
May 20 - 25 (Memorial Day Weekend) @ Yosemite
I was EXTREMELY lucky to find a campsite in Yosemite Valley. Viewing waterfalls and the beautiful scenery of Yosemite always calms me. It's such a relaxing place to recover from the craziness of the world and stress of daily living.
July 4, 5, or 6 - 11 (Fourth of July) @ Glacier National Park in Montana - This isn't 100%, but I was incredibly lucky to find a campsite, so if hiking trails and Going to the Sun Road are open, I'd love to return to heaven on earth / paradise.
July 14 - 18 @ Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming - I haven't planned a summer camping trip since 2023 to Rocky Mountain NP in Colorado, so it's definitely time to get back into camping, hiking, and viewing wildlife.
July 18 - 24 @ Yellowstone National Park - same as above
.
Okay…I gotta start driving now.
I’ll try to check back in the near future.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Cheers!
