March Forest Bathing Hike in Joaquin Miller
Details
One of our classics faves, good ole Joaquin millers Palos colorados hike and a lot of lovely photops!
What is forest bathing?
This Japanese practice is a process of relaxation; known in Japan as shinrin yoku. The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help both adults and children de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way.
Beautiful tall redwood trees, creeks, valleys, and the vast forest.
Meet at the trailhead by 9:30am and we will leave promptly at 9:40am - I have gone here for years and always find parking right in front on the culdesac. There is one bathroom stop 1.5~ miles in/we will have a snack break halfway through, so bring your favorite snack.
Dogs are welcome!
Note there are parts of the trail overlooking a valley that gets particuarly narrow
Trail information:
Palos Colorados-> sunset-> sequioa bayview -> big trees (out and back)
Elevation gain: ~2293 ft (steady inclination & declinations)
Total mileage: 4.06 mi
