Adult women only, with or without furkids provided all rules are followed and safety is maintained.
Average pace is approximately 2.5 mph with stops as determined by pups need to stop smell and squat. Bring appropriate shoes, layers if necessary; bug and sun protection are always recommended.

Shelley Lake trail is a well paved wide scenic 2.2-mile loop trail near Raleigh, North Carolina. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 44 min to complete. We can do the loop twice for a total of 4.4 miles. It's a very popular area for birding, fishing, and mountain biking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring although I don't usually encounter too many bikes on the trail. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Afterwards, we will head to the really cool Beer Garden in Raleigh that I recently discovered. It's so hard to describe all the amazing features of this place; multiple varied outdoor pet friendly seating areas. There are also several bars, each with a different theme; ie a wine bar, cocktail bar, and over 350 beers on tap. Vegan friendly options are limited. I will get a head count for the restaurant at the start of the hike. I will also try to find out ahead of time if there are any recommendations re parking as I know parking on Glenwood can be challenging.

Event will be cancelled for steady rain, lightening thunder or temps under 40 degrees. Please don't be late - we won't wait more than 5 minutes; and please don't be a no-show.
