Mindfulness Hike to Barbara's Lake
Details
ABOUT THE MINDFULNESS HIKE:
We will begin with some gentle stretches, breathing exercises and slow flowing moves to warm up the body before we embark on our hike. We will stop at various spots along the way for mindfulness practices that include slow flowing movements and moving meditations.
Our gatherings are warm and welcoming to all, offering time for light conversation and meaningful connection. The goal is to meet like-minded lovers of wellness, nature and mindfulness practices.
Hiking, along with these mindfulness practices, help transmute stress, enhance vitality, harmonize the mind-body-soul, and regulate the nervous system, so we can return to our natural state of peace and joy.
WALK STATS: This is an intermediate hike on a dirt trail that has some rocks and loose gravel. Our journey begins hiking uphill. After we reach the top of the hill, the path descends down, so it's important to have hiking boots/shoes with good traction and hiking poles if you need extra support. Once we reach Barbara's Lake it is a flat easy walk back to the parking lot.
Total length is approximately 2.60 miles. Elevation gain: 450 ft.
